Jewellery Care

Whilst Aurum Stories want you to enjoy your jewellery everyday we suggest the below to protect and conserve it for a lifetime. We suggest you remove your jewellery when doing the following:

• exercising
• swimming or showering
• sleeping
• applying lotions or creams
• avoid contact with harsh chemicals or household cleaning products

Coloured Gemstones

Coloured Gemstones are much softer than Diamonds and must avoid harsh chemicals when being worn. You can clean pieces gently with a toothbrush, minimal dish washing soap and warm water. Please be sure to use a jewelry cloth when patting dry as paper towels or toilet roll can cause scratching. Do not submerge Moonstone, Opals or Rubies.

Diamonds

You can clean diamond pieces with a toothbrush, dish washing soap and warm water. To avoid any soap scum build up or residue remove your jewellery before showering and applying any creams or lotions.

18KT Gold Jewellery

You can clean jewellery with a polishing cloth or with a toothbrush, dish washing soap and warm water. Be sure to completely rinse off any residue.

Pearls

Due to pearls sensitive nature please avoid all chemicals, lotions and perfumes when being worn. Do not clean with soap but simply clean with a soft damp cloth. Do not store in plastic / plastic bags or airtight boxes as it can cause your pearls to lose their lustre.
