A hard carved 14KT yellow gold signet ring, a family heirloom our client can eventually pass down. Here's its magical story, shared by our client, that we tell in gold:
"On each side of the crest are wildebeest; these symbolise Liuwa, home to the word's second largest migration of wildebeests; and also my ancestral home for 4 generations.
At the centre of the crest is a Fish Eagle with a shield for a breastplate. The shield is the same as the one from the Zambian coat of arms. Both are symbols for Zambia. On the Zambian coat of arms is the Victoria Falls; home to my clan ancestors of 5 generations ago and prior, and a source of my family name. The shield symbolises family, my clan, and my nation. The eagle represents the wearer of the ring, who is Zambian. With all the meaning passed down to each generation.
The rows of lines below the eagle represent land, which represents the soil of Zambia and broadly Africa. The books on either side of the Eagles flexed talons represent faith and knowledge; the source of its strength (flexed talons).
The stars above the eagle have a dual meaning. Stars were used by our ancestors move from place to place. They were reliable markers for guidance that people long ago saw, and people today can still see. They represent unchanging principles for life:
- Loyalty
- Truth
- Valor."
